Architectural Woodwork

Architectural Woodwork for Palm Beach County homes.

Wall paneling, coffered ceilings, columns, trim, and architectural millwork for Palm Beach County homes. Drawn, milled, and finished in our Jupiter shop.

How we approach architectural woodwork

Architectural woodwork sets the tone of a room before a single piece of furniture goes in. Wall paneling, coffered ceilings, columns, casing, base, crown, mantels. The millwork that defines proportion, light, and shadow. Sergio Sr. designs every package personally, working from architectural elevations and the existing condition of the room. Joinery is traditional where it matters. Stiles and rails, raised panels, mitered returns, and scribed-to-irregular-walls assembly are all standard. We mill our own profiles in the Jupiter shop, which means we are not limited to off-the-shelf trim catalogs. Custom profiles to match an existing house, a designer specification, or a period reference are normal work. Install is by the same crew, scribed and shimmed on site for a finish that reads as part of the architecture.

Frequently asked questions

Can you match an existing trim profile? +

Yes. We mill profiles in shop. If you have an existing profile to match (a casing, a crown, a panel mold), bring us a sample or a clear photograph and we will replicate it.

Do you do coffered ceilings and full paneling packages? +

Yes. Coffered ceilings, raised-panel rooms, paneled libraries, and full architectural packages for whole houses are normal work. Sergio Sr. coordinates with your architect on proportion and detail.

How long does an architectural woodwork project take? +

10 to 16 weeks for a full room (paneled library, coffered ceiling), longer for whole-house packages. We schedule install around the project's drywall, paint, and floor schedule so finished work is not damaged by other trades.

Painted or stained? +

Both. Painted work is built in tight-grain paint-grade hardwood (poplar standard) and finished with conversion varnish for hardness. Stained work is built in the species the design calls for (white oak, walnut, mahogany, cherry) with hand-rubbed finish.

Do you handle the install or just the fabrication? +

We handle both. Architectural woodwork is install-critical work. Fitting, scribing, and shimming on irregular walls and ceilings is what makes the difference between trim and architecture. The install crew is our crew.
